This book caught my attention on the first page, and with an honest word, I can say I was very close to crying in those first couple of pages. Usually, if a book does not have my attention, I have a hard time finishing it, it usually takes some weeks. However, I was able to finish this book in just three days. If I did not have my toddler around, I would have finished sooner. I simply could not wait to review this book the day I got my hands on it. I received this book by PDF, but I will be purchasing a copy because of how beautifully written this book was.

I am so thankful I came across this book. It has changed my perspective on the small moments we forget to cherish, whether its family time, or even food, or taking in the beauty of life, and lastly, the beauty of death as well. Furthermore, yes, this book will change the perspectives you have on life.

After battling and beating cancer as well as a tumor on her heart Susan is a strong-willed woman. Years later, she then gets the shattering news that her husband Bruce has esophageal cancer. While dealing with many doctors, many opinions, and different treatments, they stayed strong and remained optimistic. Bruce then decides he does not want any more treatment. He chooses quality over quantity. Some people may think that he is losing hope over this battle, but that is not the case. He knows what path he wants to take when he passes. The doctors explained to Bruce and Susan the process very easy and calmy, which reassured Bruce. He decided he wanted to spend his last months enjoying life with his family, traveling, and saying goodbye to everything he loves so that he can go peacefully.

If you loved “My Sisters Keeper” by Jodi Picoult, you would absolutely love this book. This was by far the absolute sweetest heartfelt book I have ever read. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I will recommend this to anyone and everyone!

This book left me with so many tears. Moreover, I also had so many laughs as well. This book brought me back to the time my grandmother was on hospice, and she died peacefully as well. The fact that this book made everything personal to me made it even more special. It left me with a better understanding of life and death and the quality of life. I will never forget this book, and If I do, I will re-read it as many times as I need to. Indeed, a life-changing book.

Thank you,

Lourdes S.
