Last Words from Above by Jeremy Brown, is truly a medicine for the spirit. In the introduction, Mr. Brown clearly stated that his goal is to be a great listener and to help others do same which was how this book and the previous six books he had already published came to be — through listening to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Comprising 2001 inspirational quotes, and although this was written from the view of Christianity, the quotes were not solely for Christians as they cut across every sphere of life.

As stated in the prologue, the book is intended not just to be a book of thought-provoking and inspirational quotes, but also an experience. This book will take you on a journey and as you read through, you will definitely identify places in your life that the quotes will make you reconsider and to readjust.

I love the style Mr. Brown adopted in writing this book by first giving us a detailed background story to the birth of this book which he also stated was the last book he has to write from the list of inspirations he had received of which he was careful to pen them all down as they came. He was kind enough to share his experiences too including when he had to move to the mountain for a while just to get the lesson that God wanted him to learn from the experience, though it was very uncomfortable for him.

Also, the book was written without any headings or chapters from the beginning to the end excluding the prologue and introduction which makes it the first book I have come across that just flows on to the very end.

With quotes like, “whatever we say consistently, we are inviting into our lives, whether good or bad” and “someone who is quick to lie for you will probably be just as quick to lie to you; liars are rarely loyal”; we can clearly see that the quotes in this book are words to live by, and will remain relevant for generations to come as intended by Mr. Brown.

Another important aspect that I loved was the precise editing that was done in this book with no significant errors, and the quotes were all in sync. I gladly rate Last Words from Above by Jeremy Brown, 4 out of 4 stars. I also recommend this book to both young and old and anyone that is seeking direction in life on any matter. This book is a very interesting read that will always leave the reader feeling refreshed and fully loaded with wisdom.
