I read Stones Crying Out: Fulfilling Bible Prophecy by Gertrude Garrow. It is a thought-provoking book about the many ways in which events and discoveries that have happened can be connected to specific biblical prophecies. I found myself engrossed in this book because the topic is very interesting to me.

The author begins with an introduction that discusses the turmoil in today's world and how, with various opinions and fear flying in all directions, it is hard to know what to believe or who to trust. She then proceeds to discuss the origin of the Bible and how, through the evidence of many historical events and archaeological findings, the accuracy of biblical happenings and prophecies have stood the test of time. In great depth, Garrow talks about the books of the Bible, how each one was significant, and the importance of many people in the Bible. Over several chapters, she lists each prophecy and tells, in detail, how the prophecy has been fulfilled.

This is a very well-written book with thoroughly researched evidence and facts to back up the author's points. I was fascinated with her manner of laying out the facts and also with her knowledge of the subject matter. Judging by the way in which she tells the information, it is evident that she has studied the Bible and historical events for many years.

I enjoyed her discussion on the Great Flood, as evidence that surrounds it has always been interesting to me. I also liked the chapters which discussed the coming of the Messiah, the lineage of Jesus, as well as Jesus' birth, life, death and resurrection. I particularly liked the section that told how Jesus claimed to be God, complete with many of Jesus' quotes that support His claim.

With the exception of a few very small grammatical errors, I cannot find anything negative about the book. I feel like many readers, especially those with a desire to understand biblical prophecy, would enjoy reading this book. Those who are interested but have had doubts about the validity of many biblical stories may also find much of the author's research to be engrossing. It is definitely a book that will leave you pondering many things.

I am rating the book 4 out of 4 stars. The only grammatical errors were very minute, and otherwise, it is a wonderful book to consider reading. I'm glad I had the chance to read this one, and I hope many others will, too.
