Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic journey Towards A natural Cure by Sylvie Beljanski is more than a book – it’s a cause. It’s a very intriguing, informational and touching story of a daughter who wanted the world to benefit from her parent’s research. The author is an advocate of using natural medicines to cure the various diseases we have now. She is carrying out the mission started by her father, brought it to the city of New York and created the Beljanski Foundation.

In this book, Sylvie reveals the difficulty experienced by small manufacturers and researchers worldwide in securing a spot for natural cures and remedies in the pharmaceutical and medicinal world. She also shared her personal experiences in trying to promote natural cure to a wider audience. This book aims to raise awareness regarding the use of nature’s abundant resources instead of just relying on synthetic medicines which have various side effects to the human body.

At first glance, it seemed like a dull read about research and statistics regarding cancer but I was wrong. I have found it to be a very inspirational and informational book. It is a beacon of hope to those who are fighting for their lives because of the afflictions that this kind of world we have right now has created. The research itself made me enthusiastic and got me engrossed with the book. I like the way the author has presented her recollections in the book. Placing them in italics made it more appealing and felt like a flash back. The cause of her father’s death actually intrigued me. It is heart-breaking that he had to experience such and suffer just because he wanted to create a better world for others. I found myself getting excited and frustrated because of the turnout of events. There is nothing to dislike from it.

This books deserves a 4 out of 4 star rating because it’s not like any other memoir, it is a cause. It was very direct in its purpose from the beginning. Aside from that, I didn’t encounter any errors so I can say that it is professionally edited.

This should be read by a wider audience. It is quite helpful for those who are suffering from cancer, AIDS, and other diseases, or those who know individuals suffering from one. This is an interesting read for those who are into the medical field, those who love memoirs, and those who are open to new information or new genre to explore. This is not a fast paced read. You have to understand what this is all about and the impact it can offer to the world and share it to others because it needs to be read.
