[rwc=id383153-125]4 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]Peter Liptak's Idiom Attack is simply amazing to amass a better and deeper insight into the Japanese language. Idioms may seem quite complex and intimidating at first but Idiom Attack makes it very susceptible to understand and decipher what you might find relatively complicated about it. Idioms are undeniably a very important component of languages as they share cultural and historical information of a language. It not only broadens people's understanding but also helps us express situations creatively.

Idioms are very crucial and at times can be a handful to handle. Idiom Attack makes it very easy to understand and make use of them. Idiom Attack provides us with real-life examples making it very clear. It primarily focuses on giving mostly practical examples helping us use them more often and efficiently. This way, we will be able to remember the lot we learn.

The book gives us exercises where we constantly put to use what we learn, making us memorize them faster. This book covers almost all aspects and fields where idioms can be used thus giving us a profound understanding and easier visualisation.

I would give this book a 4 out of 4. The reason I did not give this book a 3 out of 4 is that I find it very useful and effective. It is very beneficial in deciphering the idioms and understanding the very meaning of it. The book makes learning very fun by incorporating idioms in a story used in real-life settings.

The very goal of this book is to help us sound like a native speaker by mastering one of the most vital elements of a language and it has achieved it. The book is designed in such a way that it gives equal importance to all the aspects i.e., speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

Another added advantage this book has to offer is that it enables you to self-study without anybody's intervention. Usage of many synonyms and antonyms have made the message very clear and transparent. The meanings of all the idioms have been given in a very simple and straightforward way for a better understanding of the reader. One of the many things that I appreciate in the book is that the author has not once failed to put himself into the shoes of the reader making this book in all spheres very simple.

This book, in my opinion, is apt for people who are learning Japanese and of course, find idioms complicated. At the same time bear in mind that you need to be at an intermediate level in the language to thoroughly enjoy this book.
