[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Understanding your finances through life's changes" by Paul A. Etienne.]
What is your plan? Are you single by choice or circumstances? Would life insurance be a good fit for a single individual? Have you invested in real estate? Are you in a relationship? Did you find the person of your dreams and decide to marry? Do you understand where you are now as a financial pair? Have you thought about your children's future? How often do you think about retiring? At what age do you want to retire? These are some of the invaluable questions answered in this piece.
Giving a book four stars excites me because it shows the author's dedication and hard work. This piece merits a 4 out of 4 stars rating. The main reason for my rating was that the author's message was edifying, and more reasons can be found below.
Growing up, I had issues controlling how I spent money. I felt there would be time for me to save in the future because I was young and naive. I was advised by different individuals to control my spending habit, but I didn't listen. UNDERSTANDING YOUR FINANCES THROUGH LIFE’S CHANGES: CLOSING THE RELATIONSHIP GAP IN FINANCIAL LITERACY by Paul A. Etienne is a self-help book that enlightened me by breaking down methods to correct my previously failed life decisions. The author handed me a valuable reason to save early in life by compiling different methods I could use to easily achieve a bright future. He filled me with the knowledge that forced me to change my orientation about my finance.
I thoroughly enjoyed this piece because of the pattern adopted by Paul while explaining his points. He takes the time to systematically break down how readers should manage their finance through different stages of life. His writing style was easily relatable because he gave realistic scenarios. This enabled me to swiftly understand his points shared, and I read this piece in one sitting.
I appreciated him advising readers that this material is not intended to replace the advice of a qualified tax advisor, attorney, accountant, or financial advisor. There was nothing to dislike in this piece because every page had a crucial lesson to be learned. This book was well referenced by the author. This made me feel confident about the information he shared.
I found five errors while reading this book. I feel the author needs to proofread and edit this piece more, although the errors I found does not affect my rating. I recommend this piece to individuals seeking financial advice. There is an important lesson for you in this book.
