What is your relationship with God? Can you see the positive and find a sense of peace even in bad situations? James J. Hackett shares his relationship with God in his book: Precious Memories: God’s Gift of Life. James grew up in a religious family that went to church each week. He felt that each experience in life, whether good or bad, was a gift from God. As he grew older, he pulled away from the church. He turned to alcohol and his drinking overtook his life. The first chapters of the book are glimpses into the author, which then moves into his experiences with Alcoholics Anonymous. The real story of James begins after he became immersed in his religion. He went back to school and became an alcohol and drug counselor. He was active in providing support to people who had been in prison, people who were lost, and those who had turned to alcohol and drugs.

This book is a memoir that reflects on different situations in the author’s life. The author provides his view on how God was teaching and providing in each situation. There was really no character development in the book. The book provides a very brief glimpse of the people in the author’s life. Even his wives and children are only touched on briefly. James had an inner strength that was often shadowed by his alcoholism. When he was sober, he was a stellar person. He never put himself above anyone and always looked for the good in people and situations. I respected the strength he had and his strong devotion and belief in God. Most people can only see the bad in situations, but James always felt that God has put him there for a reason. I often say that everything happens for a reason, but I don’t think that I have the belief in God that James displays. His reflections and analyses are a great guide to looking deep within to find faith.

The book was short, and the stories were such brief reflections that it was difficult to tie some of them together. The book often felt like someone just threw out ideas and never developed them. At the same time, the way the book tied God into each action provided a great teaching of God’s love.

There were several spelling mistakes in the book. Because of the spelling errors, the lack of character development, and the lack of ties to many of the thoughts in the book, I give the book 3 out of 4 stars. The book is inspiring because it teaches of God’s love and involvement in our lives. I would have enjoyed the book more if it delved deeper into some of the reflections.

I recommend this book to readers of any age who believe in God and believes that He controls all aspects of our lives. The book is especially strong in Catholic teachings, so those of the Catholic faith would understand many of the concepts better than other religions. I would not recommend this book to anyone who does not believe in God, since God is tied to each reflection.

He took a 180-degree turn from alcoholism and became an alcohol counselor. What better way than that is there to encourage others. I feel touched by this book through your review. Thanks for the good work.

This book is worth teaching a lot and improving our insights. I loved how the author has always believed and had faith in God no matter whatever the situation was. This book might be a great restore to those who are lost and needs hope.

Thanks for taking the time to read my review. I think the book reminds us that we may not have everything we want and life may not be easy, but there is always hope and eventually things work out for the best. It is hard to have faith sometimes when we cannot see through the darkness.
