Review by Haywhyre7 -- Winning the War on Cancer
Winning the War on Cancer by Sylvie Beljanski is an eye-opener into cancer and cancer treatment as well as the prospect of an alternative and natural cure.
Sylvie grew up with parents who were alternative cancer researchers. Her father was making headway in his discovery of a natural cure but his research was cut short by dubious elements in the scientific community and his quest for a natural cure came to a halt. Sylvie, however, took up the reins, establishing a cancer research foundation in a bid to clear her father's name as well as endorse the possibilities of alternative cancer treatment. She describes the challenges and hurdles, but she remains hopeful and determined to see it through.
The book also gives an informative eye into cancer and cancer treatments of both conventional and alternative therapies. She also discusses the deep conspiracy of Pharma companies and the government in shutting down scientific researches into natural cures, as well also profiting off the costly cancer therapies of conventional cancer treatment. This she mentions, is why her father's research into two plants containing possible anti-cancer chemicals was immediately clamped down and frustrated.
I found this book extremely informative, and though familiar with cancer and cancer treatment, I still gained a few things. I really loved her courage and passion to clear her father's name and to also to find a natural cure. Cancer as a disease is deadly and lethal and the fact that Pharma companies are looking to profit from it is absolutely horrendous. I bare my reservations to alternative medicine, but if there is a route to much cheaper cancer treatment then it is entirely reasonable to take it.
Every single concept was broken down to the minimum and combined with the easy writing style, the book can be read by just about anyone. For a book on healthcare, it covers various themes; some which I found heartbreaking especially those about her father. Asides cancer, she also talks about healthy living and urges readers to have a healthy lifestyle.
I would recommend this book to anyone, but would suggest it to people who want to find out about cancer, and it's treatment, prospective natural solutions for it, and tips on living healthy. Its topics are very well explained and so you don't have to have a medical degree to completely comprehend.
I give this novel a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I didn't dislike anything about it, and it was also well-edited as well. The book is a must read everyone and if you're chanced to see this you should definitely go pick it up.
