Many times, we give up on our innovative ideas before we execute them. This happens because we focus more on the several possibilities that we might fail rather than on the probability that we might not. Demetrius Thigpen, in his book, speaks knowledgeably of the inexplicable power of the mind and how to utilize it efficiently to bring out the best in us.

The Extraordinary Thought From an Ordinary Mind is a book carefully written by Demetrius Thigpen to enlighten readers about the intellectual power of the mind. In this book, he carefully explains how negative thoughts hold us back more than we can imagine. He recounts some of his encounters to shed more light on why we need to maintain a positive mindset always, no matter the circumstance. This book contains a few pages (62 pages; kindle edition) and can be read in under an hour. To implement and practice the things mentioned by the author, I strongly suggest that readers study this book and refer to it as often as they can.

Several valuable lessons exist within this book, but my favorite is about maintaining the same energy. Basically, Demetrius Thigpen advises that we should finish with the same energy we begin with. So, regardless of the circumstances, on good days and unpleasant ones, we should keep the same energy. Applying this technique significantly reduces the probability of failure and ensures we attain the goal we had in mind when we started. I find this so helpful that I plan to apply it in my life. Another relevant lesson worth mentioning is that our comfort zones limit our dreams, and we can only achieve as much as it allows us to. According to Demetrius Thigpen, "a plant will only get as big as the pot that it's in, and a fish will never outgrow the tank it resides in." These words serve as gentle reminders that until we willingly sacrifice the convenience we get from our comfort zones, we may not achieve remarkable things.

Additionally, the author's encounters represent my favorite features of this well-written book. They not only give more insight into the author's life, but they also move the reader to apply the techniques mentioned. I say this because the author doesn't merely tell readers what to do to achieve their dreams, he also proves that he's applied these techniques, and they've worked for him. An outstanding experience recounted by the author is his encounter with the O-course that the Marines take. He was furious because his name wasn't on the list to compete in the course. He then went on to get his name on that list with the incentive that he could help the team win because he's the man for the job. In the end, he failed and was unable to achieve what he boasted he would. The lesson here is a reminder that success in many things doesn't remove room for failure in others.

There is no use of profanities in this text, neither is there any erotic content in it. It can be read and equally appreciated by everyone, regardless of their religion. I do not dislike anything about this book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because its content is encouraging, practical, and real. I did not observe up to ten errors, so I can conclude it was professionally edited. I heartily recommend it to anyone who wants to make the most use of their mind.

This is not my genre as it sounds like a self-help or self-improvement piece, but I could not ignore the cover, hence, I'm here :)

Thank you for such an informative and inspired review!
