I'm a Grisham fan too, and I won't mind the court cases as long as I get to learn new things about litigation. It's a pity the editing was poor. It's a good book.
Then this is the book for you! I hope the errors can be addressed soon, though.

Grant had a fascinating life. I didn't even mention that he lawyered for celebrities like Shirley Temple and was fishing buddies with Johnny Weissmuller, Tarzan himself!

Thanks for your detailed review. Recently, I also reviewed a fiction about the courtroom and the battling for justice, and I don't mind reading some more books about this topic. I would like to see what this book offers the readers.

This one is true to life. That's what makes it all the more fascinating. The crimes people commit!

The opposing lawyers referred to Grant as a user of Perry Mason tactics. So that makes three Perry Mason fans: you, me, and Grant! We're in great company, LOL!

And thank you for passing by. I appreciate it.

The book also shows Los Angeles during the time when it was the "most corrupt city in America." While reading the book, I also stumbled upon some online stuff about JFK and RFK. Truly, we all have feet of clay.

I love the three generations that contributed to this book! The vivid descriptions of the stuttering witnesses and the sweating defendants put the readers in the courtroom with their nerves on edge! Beautiful writing! Thanks for this amazing recommendation.
