The Time is Now, written by Hunter Harris, is a self-help book that aims to help the reader create a life of their choice. In the author’s own words, he aims to help you “create your life the way you want it to be.” Indeed, the main lesson of the book is that it is possible to chase and achieve your dreams, no matter how big or small your dreams are.

All in all, the one thing I liked most was the motivational nature of the author’s writing. I found some of his words to be profound and deep, and I was inspired to keep on reading. I also enjoyed some of his advice on living a good life, especially the chapter on taking care of our health.

Furthermore, I appreciate the author sharing his life story in the book, as I could relate to it. He also shared some examples and lessons from his life that I believe were important. These examples helped me to understand where he was coming from and why he decided to write The Time is Now.

Nevertheless, I had some issues with the book. First, I was often confused while reading because I could not understand the author’s words. In fact, I had to reread several sentences in order to grasp their meanings, and this detracted from my reading experience. Take, for example, the following sentence: "Your dream, based on what you see the situation, could turn out to be or what you would gladly give your life to.”

Further, as an avid reader, I must admit that the ideas in the book were not new to me. However, the way these ideas were presented left a lot to be desired. For example, the author offers no concrete steps that the reader can take to improve their lives; instead, most of his writing was about abstract ideas and concepts. In the following excerpt, for instance, I did not understand what he meant by the terms “base,” “time crunch,” and “design.”

"After the base is laid, you have started to build. This is why there is no time crunch. You have set the base, design, and creation in motion.”

All things considered, I rate The Time is Now 2 out of 4 stars. I did not give it a lower rating because it contained some good ideas; however, I could not rate it higher because of the issues mentioned above. Also, although I found some errors in it, I suspect it was professionally edited. Lastly, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading self-help books.

The book has good premises, but it's too bad that the writing and the editing were lacking. Thank you for your honest review!

Self-help books are usually educational and page-turners. Based on your concerns, this particular one seems to be a little off. Thank you for such an honest review 👌
