The Race was written by Luther Wissa. In this book, the author showed his audience how we had been blinded and deceived by false logic. He discussed how the “do the best for you and it will be better for others” attitude has negatively affected our world. Luther further explained how greed had caused chaos in our world today. The writer also educated us on how to build a new society. Luther inspired his readers to believe that we can fix our world, thereby making it beneficial for everyone, not only for a few elites.

He revealed how money had become a weapon rather than a tool. From this book, readers will discover how a few wealthy individuals have used the money for mass destruction. He also showed ways that we find the solution to these problems around us.

I liked his illustrations and how he conveyed his message to his readers. For example, he used the animal kingdom as an example. He showed us how these animals live in peace and how they love themselves. His illustrations inspired me. I felt he used the perfect illustration.

Animals are the perfect examples that humans should emulate. We allege to be a higher specie of God’s creation, but we end up harming our fellow humans because of selfish gains. One of the quotes in this book that I loved was, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: what are you doing for others?” Rev. Martin Luther King made this statement. Readers have so much to learn from this book.

What I liked most about this book was how the author explained some principles. Mainly the principle that states, “To be truly happy, give out to others.” This idealogy was my favorite part of this book.

I almost did not find anything to dislike in this book. However, I didn't particularly appreciate that some chapters were lesser in pages than other chapters. I wanted to read more about some topics in this book, but I was dissatisfied because some chapters had lesser pages.

Another thing I did not like was that the book has many grammar errors. I feel the book still requires another round of editing. The editors did not professionally edit it. I rate it 3 out of 4 stars. I removed a star because the book still needs to be edited. But since I still enjoyed it, I could not deduct another star.

I recommend The Race to those who enjoy books on leadership. It will suit those who seek to make their lives and the lives of others better. Furthermore, Christians will also find this book intriguing. I met just a profane word in the book, which I considered nonborderline.

This book seems to be one in which much of the plot is revealed slowly, which to me is captivating yet frustrating at the same time. Great review in general.
