A book by Kathleen Ho titled Living Forward after Loss is written based on her journey after losing someone important. As she loses a loved one, she also loses herself. The author used her life experiences to demonstrate to us not to dwell on the pain and help us continue with our lives.

Living Forward after Loss is about how you should deal with the emotions you feel after losing your loved ones. It tells how the author felt and what she went through after losing her husband, David. After suffering from loss, she realizes a lot of things and starts to deal with it better. Every chapter in this book there are advices based on her experience.

The book is such a great work. It makes you feel connected with the author. They say that for others to remember the lesson, it should be expressed in a story. By that, I love how Kathleen placed different situations and stories from her experiences to help us understand what she is trying to convey. Another great thing about this book is that there are questions and strategies at the end of the chapter that helps us reflect on ourselves.

There is nothing I hate about the book. It is very remarkable and inspiring that in the first chapter, I was captured by it. This work makes you feel like you have a companion as you are trying to recover. There are so many lessons we can learn from this. Not just from the author’s lives but also the lives of other people and motivational speakers. We grasp the ways to comfort other people who are in pain too.

Although the primary target is those who just lost someone, Kathleen Ho’s tips and advice are open for others. Her book can also be for all who generally need the motivation to continue in life. This book doesn’t contain any profanity. Overall, I would rate this book four out of four stars.
