Think Big Scale Fast by Jolien Demeyer is an expert analysis of the best ways that an entrepreneur can scale a business, which she defines as, "setting the stage to support growth in your company. It means having the ability to grow without being hampered." The book is written from her own experiences gained over time while working in different companies and different countries. Therefore, the approaches are very realistic and practical too.

The author provokes an entrepreneur to think about his/her role in the business and whether their absence would cripple the business. She has explicitly stated the vital role played by customers, one as consumers for the goods or services and the other role of being brand ambassadors. Demeyer went ahead to explain how different companies can act as each other's referees and mutually co-exist in a business-friendly way. She emphasizes the fact that great companies were not built overnight but had humble beginnings, yet the resilience, strategies, and scalability of their founders have sustained them to date.

There is absolutely nothing that I did not like about this book. It is professionally edited and contains only two grammatical mistakes, a typo and an ungrammatical inclusion of the pronoun "it". I was truly impressed by the author's simple, yet concise writing style. She was able to describe business terms and present Mathematics formulae in very simple illustrations and diagrams, which complimented her general descriptive style and added variety to the book. The animations were quite lively and helped in recreating the scenarios that the author described.

Demeyer diversified content delivery by listing, stating, and mentioning, which enhanced retention of otherwise bulk information compared to the constant use of continuous prose. There were exercises in the book, whose participation in attempting them made me have lively engagements with the author. The questions that she provoked me to think about helped me to resonate more with her and hence, I was able to understand the various strategies that she laid down and why she preferred certain approaches over others.

The use of chapter reviews to summarize the entire chapter will help a reader to revisit the information without interrupting their reading. I commend the author for not only seeking to help entrepreneurs build their marketing brands but also for providing tips that will enable them to improve their leadership skills. This book deserves a full rating of four out of four stars. I recommend it to readers involved in sales and marketing. Prospective entrepreneurs will also appreciate the invaluable knowledge about the importance of creating an exit strategy in their establishments.

Apparently, the author dedicated a lot of efforts in this book. From sharing knowledge from her past experience to providing exercises that could help a reader apply what they've just learnt. Nice one
