Fearless Thinking, Stress-free living, Guaranteed (Almost) by Purandar A. Amin is a book with some personal touch from the author. It describes what is most important in life, what is lasting, what is the truth, and what is temporary. How to live a life of peace and gratitude and understanding how the inner being affects the outer being as a whole and ways on how to understand the mind as the real source of our stress and tensions. That the conditioning of our mind is mostly the cause of our stress.

If there are things that I like in this book, it’s the personal touch of the author that he incorporated in his writing. He does it via personal letter and the exercises at the end of the chapter made it like an interaction between the author and the reader. It made me think and dig deeper with my thoughts on how to live almost a stress-free life. The book gave practical explanations and pieces of advice on how to find inner peace and joy as you live your life to the fullest. It is a self-help book giving its readers practical lessons on living a stress-free life. I also like the honesty of the author when he explained that this book is ‘almost guaranteed’ because when living life you cannot perfect it, there will always be flaws and failures along the way and he made this book the same. The book tried to capture almost every aspect but somehow it cannot completely discuss every detail of living life a hundred percent stress-free. Because stress and fear will always be part of life one way or another it is a fundamental emotion and feeling. But this book will somehow give you a self-help guide on how to be aware of our stresses and fears so that later on we can learn how to reject these negative energies and make life simple to live.

The negative aspect I find about the book is that somehow it gave me ambiguity and confusion on some of the concepts that it is sharing. While readers are being introduced to a river of concepts of living a happy, contented, and stress-free life I found myself somehow conflicted in between. In the sense that, while reading the book the feeling of living a perfect life is a must. That if I want to live life perfectly, I have to follow all these instructions given in this book; but, life the way we know it is not perfect at all and it will never be even how much we try. There will always be problems, flaws, failures, and challenges that we need to overcome along the way because as human beings we are all interconnected beings in this world, and imperfection will always be part of our nature. It is what makes us human, and it is what keeps us alive.

However, I give this book 4 out of 4 stars as a rating even though it posts a bit of confusion to me but I like how the idea and the main concept it is trying to teach, share and address. For me, the point and purpose of the book were delivered properly to its readers. While reading it, I was challenged to think deeply and examined my psyche on thinking about living a life without stress and how am I going to at least attain it. That having control of my mind I can also have control of my stress factors that would lead me to a stress-free living. And for that I liked it.

I recommend this book to intellectual audiences such as people who are in academia, like students or teaching people who study philosophy, psychology, or even theology. Because of the deep sense of knowledge and knowing being poured out in this book I believe they can best get in touch with the main concept of the book in an intellectual and critical manner.

I like that the author included “Almost” in the title. It seems to be a nod to the ambiguity you mention—there is no such thing as totally fearless, stress-free living, but there are steps we can take to minimize the fear and stress. Thank you for your thorough review. :balloon:
