Having a child is one of the most life-altering experiences that many people can go through. The months following a child's birth are also overwhelming. Escape the Maze by T. Mertz is a self-help book for new moms who need a little push to let go of expectations and to be their best selves. It promotes progress with its comprehensive discussions and tips. As a mother, the author speaks from her own experience. She believes that becoming a mother is a lot of work, but it also entails seeing the world through new eyes and enjoying its richness.

The author aims to relieve the guilt felt by mothers by providing easy-to-follow recommendations. The book devotes a considerable amount of time to exploring the value of self-care for mothers and how simple it can be. It also incorporates the idea of eating nutritious food as one of the most effective ways to look after oneself. The author emphasizes giving up self-imposed limitations and encourages values such as gratitude and self-kindness.

The author's writing is clear and concise, and the chapters are well-organized. Quotes are interspersed in each chapter to hold the reader's attention. The book is short and an easy read.

The book serves as a motivational tool but doesn't dramatically shift your perspective. It is good to pick up this book for bouts of encouragement. One could select any chapter to get refreshed and face life with renewed vigor. It feels like a friend pushing you to do better. I believe it is a sensible guide that will assist you in shifting your mindset toward a more optimistic outlook while allowing you to progress at your own rate.

Some of the ideas in the book seemed a little clichéd to me. For example, we see topics like "let go of the past" and "don't be afraid to ask for help" on a regular basis on social media. Despite this, there are reminders in the books that could truly be useful for an altered look at one’s circumstances.

Regrettably, I discovered more than ten grammatical errors. As a result, I'm giving Escape the Maze three out of four stars. There isn't a single swear word in sight. In terms of editing, there is space for progress.

This is a must-read for women who overwork themselves and feel guilty about taking care of themselves. It will assist them in achieving a better sense of harmony in their life and greater enjoyment of parenting. If you are a new mom and want to live in the moment instead of searching for perfection, this book is for you.

I like that the author is very generous and aims to help new mothers as well as make their work easier. I like your review, it was simple and on point.

It is a shame that it has so many errors. Other than that, this sounds like a simple enjoyable read. Thank you for your review.

This would be great for new moms. It is a hard job. There are a lot of new mothers that could probably benefit from this book.
