In the book Hindsight by Sharon Bonanno and Lisa Scott we learn about two sisters that are fighting to succeed in life. This book talks about diabetes, and the impacts it has on family and the individuals with the medical problems. This is a story that shows two sides to a story. It shows the side of depression, and addiction. And the other side of the story is from the people on the outside of addiction that get to deal with the struggles of trying to help. The well written timeline of their life is amazing. It shows all the emotions, and struggles on both sides. Both ladies tell how they feel alone and desperate for a change.

Nevertheless, I liked the quotes that were used before paragraphs. Some of my favorite stars were used. They wrote some interesting, and thoughtful quotes. The book was an easy read. The words flowed nicely. This book was hard to put down, and was addicting. The quote on page 20 All drug addicts are different and deal with their addictions and the issues that led them to addiction in different ways, but often, when you accuse a drug addict of doing drugs or having a problem, the natural response is flight or fight is a super relatable quote and is a eye opener.

Additionally there were some issues with the book. Some paragraphs I disliked because they were repetitive. On page 21 the author talks about a lot of the same stuff and it drags on. When you continue reading the book it has the same issues. When the author talks about the dad they are also repetitive and telling how alone they really were. Inserts of text on the side are also repetitive and distracting. Makes me feel like I'm reading more than I have to.

This book I would rate 4 out of 4 stars. Even though there were some issues of my own personal preference the book overall was interesting, and kept me engaged. I could easily relate to this book coming from a family of addiction. Also can relate because my mom has diabetes. This was a very great read. It is a very addicting book.

Overall, there were very few errors, if any. The book is well edited and proofread. The words flow very fast and very easy to read. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to a few people that I know feel like these ladies. Alone and scared. Just trying to get by.
