Six Days In October by Karen Blumenthal

Post by PashaRu »

Subtitled "The Stock Market Crash of 1929," this book chronicles the week leading up to "Black Tuesday" in October 1929. Written with insight and simplicity, it's a very interesting and informative read, especially for those who don't know much about the birth, evolution, and operation of the stock market.

You'll get a sense of the heady days of the 20s, and how many factors converged to create an environment perfect for a crash. And that's exactly what happened. My edition comes in at about 150 pages. Not a difficult or long read at all.

Was there a narrator or main character? Sounds like it could be interesting!

It's non-fiction, so there is no main character. It's standard third-person non-fiction narrative.
