Being a leader is not a simple task. It entails a lot of duties and responsibilities. However, as what they always say, with great power comes great responsibility. How do you also become an effective leader?

The Leading Man by Stephen J. Blakesley is a self-help book that aims to help the readers in achieving better leadership skills. In this book, the author proves that there are six essential things you need to consider. This book is a guide to help readers to elevate themselves and become better leaders.

First of all, I enjoyed reading this book. One of the things that made me love this book is that it is easy to understand while still being fun to read. The author was able to provide a lot of information regarding leadership skills. He was able to provide a lot of information from different studies and research projects while still being easy to understand. Besides, I appreciate that the author incorporated information from different books regarding leadership from different authors as well. By doing so, readers can gain a better understanding of the topic.

In addition to that, I loved that the author was able to provide useful information that would be beneficial to the readers interested in improving or starting their leadership roles. Also, one of the things I loved about this book is that it is straightforward and concise. I also appreciate that the author wrote about his own experiences and shared them in this book. In this way, it has a more personal touch to make it more relatable to readers. The author was able to explain his points very well. However, if there is one thing I disliked, it would be the highlighting of too many words in this book. Some of the words highlighted are not that important. And I do believe that the highlighted words or phrases should only be kept to a minimum amount.

Overall, I would rate this book a 4 out of 4. I genuinely enjoyed reading this since this is a simple but helpful read that is still enjoyable. I would recommend this to readers who are interested in improving or starting his or her leadership skills. This book is easy to understand and readers could easily relate to this book. After all, being a leader is not the easiest job. But with the right mindset and goals, you are surely on your way to become an effective one.
