Libby Maxey is in many ways very recognizable to many of us: a stay-at-home mom, dreamer, creative-thinker and devout Christian. What is special about this account is that she shares her unique immersion into unified consciousness and her struggle to integrate the scale of her experiences and visions into her everyday life. This is a very intimate and evocative autobiographical account of a woman who embarks on a journey to realize God Consciousness within her own lifetime. Not a doubt enters her mind that she can and will experience the fullness of Christ within her earthly life: Libby as Christ and Christ as Libby.
The brazen seeker chooses to utilize tools that are simple and accessible, such as prayer, meditation and participating in spiritual community, as she embraces the promise of Christogenesis. This ordinary mystic gives us anecdotes about her ecstatic merges with Christ consciousness, such as "Jesus is a good date!", while keeping her tone of authenticity and vulnerability to share the lowest lows. Personal betrayals, the struggle to maintain social intimacy throughout her ongoing transformation, and the crushing weight of a world plagued by fear and pain all mark her journey. I definitely recommend this book for the very intimate yet very expansive picture it paints of our capacity as human beings.
