Review of The New Eugenics
This novel is made up of 15 chapters. It begins by defining the word eugenics and states the technique applied. It's aimed at improving the homo sapiens. Eugenics has accelerated in development in recent years, the main cause of this acceleration is capitalism. Those not satisfied with their genetic inheritance can use genetic enhancement for their health desire. Health and intelligence is a desire most parents want for their children and it's where human modification comes in. Eugenics has facilitated the screening of most diseases. The problem involved in eugenics is that the benefits will be reaped by a small number of people due to its cost. This novel also discusses the achievement and importance of this achievement by great researchers who won the Nobel Prize. What will you feel if you will be criticized for "playing God"?
The New Eugenics by Conrad B. Quintyn is so interactive in that it has interactive questions. It has employed the use of foreshadowing by referring to chapters ahead. It is also educative like for example, I learned a lot of science-related content, and by the way, I have accumulated a list of scientific names in my list of vocabularies. " Did you know that phones are cloned?" I didn't know but reading this book made me know. It made me debate some issues in my mind, I supported and provoked another statement. It also has a list of technical words explaining their meaning. In addition, it has notes printed at the end of the book. There is nothing I dislike about this book, it is well written with no grammar errors. I also like how the author quotes words from other scientists. The level of profanity involved is absolutely zero.
The chapters are so long and one will feel bored if he/she is not intended to contend related to science. There are too many initials within the chapters. It is making it hard for a reader to master all the initials.
I rate this novel 4 out of 4 stars. It is interactive, educative, involves debate, has some history and foreshadowing. It has good grammar and proper punctuation. Meanwhile, I found some typing error of which I don't think it will affect its rating.
I recommend this novel to people who are in medicine, biologists, and all people who love reading science-related content. It is also suitable for all religions to read it.
