The Last Lion

I'm new here and I need to know if venting is permitted. William Manchester selected Paul Reid to complete The Last Lion, Defender of the Realm. Has anyone read this? In the Preamble, Reid used the term "enthused". On page 178, Reid wrote "...if fermenting a peasants' revolt..." GAAAAH! Dreadful, dreadful writing!
