Talk about a comprehensive and reliable source! If you love Bordeaux, traveling, wine, culture, food, or photography, this is the book for you. If you love them all simultaneously, you're in for a real treat. Author, photojournalist, publisher, and wine expert Michael C. Higgins wrote several books where he researches the wine industry in numerous places. Exploring Wine Regions – Bordeaux France is one of those precious books. Other than Bordeaux, he also wrote a book about wine exploration in Argentina. Another one in California is coming soon.

As a reader, you might be expecting to read only about wine. This is not the case. The book is a complete account of the explored city. You'll find valuable information about tourist attractions, lodgings, restaurants, and many others. That being said, the focus of the book is wine. Accordingly, the level of detail regarding the winemaking process reached its maximum. You'll learn about agriculture, transportation, storage, extraction, and pumping. You'll even learn about the different grades and types of wines.

My favorite thing about this book, however, was the pictures. Reading this book was an absolute delight. It takes you on a unique trip to Bordeaux. If I ever give it a visit, this book will be my guide. It has full information about hotels, activities, tours, and everything else a tourist needs. There are maps and itineraries included. I also believe the author enclosed rare information, like blind tastings, customized tours, castles and mansions that offer accommodation services, and more. You'll find everything with a picture attached to it. What else can you ask for?

There's nothing I disliked about this book. The content is rich and informative. The text is clear, concise, entertaining, and professionally edited. Every page is masterfully designed to offer a composition that is aesthetically pleasing.

I give Exploring Wine Regions – Bordeaux France 4 out 4 stars. It was one of the easiest ratings I had to give. The book stands out as unique and valuable. The author shows a great deal of knowledge about the topic. His writing style is assertive and reflects confidence. Everything you'll read is based on personal experience from the author's side, which gives the book credibility.

Even though it may seem that the book's topic is only fit for wine lovers, I can assure you it's not. For wine lovers, it's a huge bonus. However, it is also insightful for readers who enjoy traveling and learning about other places in the world from a completely different perspective. Give this book a read, and enjoy Bordeaux to the fullest!
