This book has brought to light the need for IQ-EQ balance that would be needed both at home and at work. Congrats for being the BOTD.

Being streetwise and having emotional intelligence can be useful in the workplace. The tips and information could help business professionals avoid office politics and conflicts. I agree with the author when he pointed out that when an organization has a toxic culture, sometimes the best solution might be to move on. Thanks for a good review on this book.

Thanks so much for the review, only that we ought to keep in mind that "We might be the masters of our own thoughts but still we are the slaves of our Emotions"

I never considered the significance of emotional intelligence in a workplace, but this book makes it very obvious. I'd love to read this, and find out more and learn how to balance it.

Emotional intelligence should be a subject taught in school due to its importance in people's lives. Unfortunately, we have to develop it on our own, so a book that offers clues and advice is welcome to better understand ourselves and others and make better use of our skills. Thank you for your great review!

I agree with the points raised in this review. I have always equated common sense to emotional intelligence. I still do. However, there is a new thinking that a persons emotional stability ensures high productivity levels in the workplace. Since human resource is the most important of all, the book highlights the strategies with examples to do with EQ or IQ. Thank you.
