In a situation where history is removed entirely from being taught, what can we do?

Studying history allows us to observe and understand how people and societies behaved. History provides us with the data that is used to create, or theories about various aspects of society. Amazing idea to have events like this documented and written in a book form also and give us such important reminders.

I'm really not one for history books but this review has piqued my interest. It does seem as if it would make for an interesting and educational read, seeing as I have not been aware of this side of history.
