The Cadence of Excellence: Key Habits of Effective Sales Manager authored by Matthew McDarby is a book that each sales manager should be reading! The book is filled with valuable experiences and lessons of the author that are of great help to those who are serious in wanting to build a strong sales team. Even for those who are not in the sales industry, this is also a book that anyone can enjoy reading and benefit from it. Throughout the book, the author explains on what are the important areas that needs to be covered or taken action on by any serious sales manager that wants to succeed in transforming their sales team into a high performing one. The author also lead the readers to answer challenging questions which will force them to take action instead of just having the intention in their mind. Some effort has also been put into the book in providing visuals that explains explicitly some of the tools or concept that the author is trying to explain to the readers. Towards the end of the book, the author summarizes all the topics covered in each chapter in a questionnaire form which leads the user to more properly plan their actions to achieve their sales goals.

The book is not too lengthy but packed with valuable insights which are carefully explained in very easily relatable terms and examples. Throughout the book, there are many real case studies that enhances the confidence of readers to what has been proposed, as those are tried and tested methods that delivered actual results. The book is also very neat with proper alignment and formatting.

The book is perfect, and there is nothing much that I do not like about it. If I were to force myself to come up with one, I would say it will be better if the book cover page can have a more professional design.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book is no doubt enjoyable and insightful. It is also perfectly edited. There are no error spotted no matter in terms of spelling, grammar nor alignment formatting. This gave me an impression that a lot of effort has been put to perfect the book.

This is a highly recommended book for sales managers that are looking for ideas or reference on further improving their respective sales team. There are many bite size information that triggers critical thinking which benefit the readers.
