Review of Selling with Presence
Selling with Presence is a book on selling by Reggie Pearse. The author started the book with a story. A salesperson was able to sell a girl a bunch of stuff by just his presence. The author shared his journey. How he had to handle his father’s business at the age of 17. He wrote numerous things that he learned from those past years. He failed multiple times at an early age. He shared his own experiences and told us, what he did wrong and what we can do in place of that. The author told us the value of presence, body language, and our overall personality in the selling business. There are so many helpful aspects in the book. How to improve your ability to manage stress? What is the process of selling? How to control your emotions in difficult situations? How to use social media in this modern age of selling? For answers, you have to read the book.
You will find so many links and sources in this book. Links of tests to evaluate yourself and courses you can take to improve your ability to sell. There are so many external sources mentioned in the book.
Charts are provided in numerous chapters so we can easily understand the concept. Points are also given in most of the chapters.
The author also suggested many books that we can read to become an expert in selling with presence. I got to know about the phases of the meeting and what we can do in each phase. Questions and things that we can ask and do in each phase.
Most of the books on selling tell us techniques or questions and what you can do in sales but in this book, you are going to know about how only your presence can make a difference in all of it.
I loved that the author made points at the end of every lesson for easy understanding. This thing helped me to understand the concept.
One negative thing I found in this book is long sentences. Some paragraphs are confusing because of that.
I give Selling with Presence by Reggie Pearse 4 out of 4 stars because this book has so many good points and knowledge on selling. It also wraps things that surround selling.
I recommend this book to people who are already in sales and want to improve their ability to sell. People who have sales meetings often can benefit from this book.
