The Doctrine of Communion of Saints is a book that aims to decipher the absolute truth about the doctrine of the communion of saints. The doctrine is complex and thought-provoking with the potential to transform one's being into authentic personhood, which is the very fabric of Christian living. Armed with years of professional research, experiments, and in-depth knowledge of the Christian life, Nithyananda Augustus Nathan tries to capture and dissect the purpose of this doctrine from the Old through the New Testaments.

This book is divided into two parts. Each section of the book is enlightening and tries to answer some questions around the Christian life and communion of saints. Can saints intervene for the dead? What does the content of the communion show? The answers to all these complex and conflicting questions, and even more, are what you'll find if you read this book.

The Doctrine of Communion of Saints is one of the most enlightening, detailed, and well-researched Christian books I've had the pleasure of reading. The author takes the reader on a quest to discover how deeply and truly the communion of saints reflects the Christian life and message. It is not very often that books with such accuracy, excellent structure, and well-researched messages are seen, and Nithyananda Augustus Nathan did a fantastic job with this book. He captures the interest of his readers by providing such detailed explanations and in-depth research.

This book serves as an eye-opener to many unanswered questions about Christianity, sainthood, and the creed. It teaches about the knowledge of saints and the requirements for one to become a faithful Christian. I found this book educational and enlightening, as it opened my eyes to so many blind spots. I love how skillfully the author summarises everything he explained in each chapter at the end of the chapter. This is helpful to me, and I believe readers will also appreciate the effort. Each chapter is an exposition and a critical analysis of what the sacramental paradigm of Christian humanism entails. This book attempts to expose the set of dogmas that Christians are expected to believe, conveying the divine plan for God's kingdom in this world.

I love the little references the author makes at the footer of almost every page throughout the book. The cross-referencing technique is another significant factor the creates some sort of connectivity across the chapters. For instance, on Page 162, while explaining the trinity, he refers to chapter 4 for more clarity. These recalls and markings make the book more understandable and easy to read. The book is rich with many instances from the scriptures and quotes from theologians.

I did find a few grammatical errors in the book. However, they didn't detract from the overall excellence this book exuded. Therefore, I would rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to Christians who want to truly understand and grasp Christendom's core concept.
