Matthew McDarby's The Cadence of Excellence is a valuable reading material that I would recommend all aspiring business owners and future sales managers to read. This book gives you an insight to the world of sales management, so having basic knowledge in this area is all you need to understand.

The book speaks from the author's personal experiences and gives sound advice from all that he had learned. McDarby gives all the secrets on how to prevent or break the vicious cycle's business may create in sales in order to change their sales process and progress. His unique way of retelling his business life yet incorporating keys points that would help sales persons enables readers to feel as if they are getting a captivating speech from a keynote speaker. The inclusion of his former employers opinions on his skills and ethics, as well as his first hand learning experiences, reassures readers that they are receiving credible information that has been tested and proven to be both efficient and effective.

As a business major, I personally appreciated and was very please to have read this book. Not only have I gained some knowledge on sales management but I have also acquired useful lessons that can be applicable as well as my student life. I especially love how the book speaks to the specific things one needs to pay attention to in the starting phase an onward as to prevent a sort of 'burn out' once you are close to end of the process.

I especially loved the fact that there were questions posed in a chapter that allowed me to reflect and really think about how to apply my new found information to different scenarios. There were also few pictorial representations that I found slightly grateful for, as they provided a small break from the continuous stream of words.

Each chapter was relatively short and mostly got to the point. I also found it very useful that towards the end of the book, there are boxes for each chapter where one can write personal notes based on the questions with their knowledge from what they learnt in each chapter. Of course, I would have been more convenient if these were at the end of each chapter but it was great to have nonetheless.

Overall, I rate this book four out of four stars as I found no grammatical errors while reading and it's content was reliable as well as credible.
