Review of Steps To Success
Steps To Success is a personal finance non-fiction book written by Daniel Anderson. It guides readers on the importance of discipline, hard work, and passion towards achieving success.
The author sets a clear and straightforward outline of the critical concepts that enable one to be successful. He educates on the fundamental aspects of achieving goals by mainly obtaining financial literacy and financial education. The knowledge acquired is required to make the necessary financial decisions throughout the long journey to becoming successful. He further gives insight into the importance of strong personal characteristics such as discipline, hard work, honesty, and resilience. The journey to reaching one’s goals goes beyond making sound financial decisions. Read up on this book to discover the hand-picked steps required to be successful.
Although the book is a short read, it is very informative and educative, as it covers all aspects of financial literacy. When most people think of venturing into the entrepreneurial world, they often only consider the economic factors. We think of loans, partnerships, and many other means of acquiring finances, which is good. However, other aspects such as our relationships with other people seem to be the most significant contributing factors to climbing up the ladder or even falling from the ladder. This part was of the utmost importance in this book, making it an excellent read.
Even though the author did not condemn the theoretical aspects of success, he showed that the personal relationships and their levels (dangers of mixing business with pleasure and so on) form a more significant portion of the fundamental stage. That is what I admired the most about the book.
Another fantastic thing about the book is that it is relatable. The key concepts were justified by realistic scenarios that the author had directly or indirectly experienced. Additionally, I enjoyed the structure of the book. It’s straightforward, and each chapter is used as a guiding step to success.
Unfortunately, despite the incredible work, there are many grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the entire book, which affected my reading experience. For this reason, I am rating the book 3 out of 4 stars. Other than that, I enjoyed every other part of the book.
I would recommend this book to people interested in venturing into entrepreneurship, investing, gaining financial independence of any sort, or a strategy to make a success of oneself. The book is an easy read, and it provides realistic approaches backed up with life lessons.
