"Don't Mind Me I'm Just Having A Bad Life" by Mr. Lewis Kempfer is, as the title page itself suggest, a memoir of his experiences that brought him to where he stands currently. In this book, Lewis describes in detail his life, starting from his childhood experience, to his lonely teenage years, a grueling disease, loneliness, feeling rejected and dejected by anything and everything he did, being suicidal and somehow finding the strength to writing a book summarizing it all.

The book is a raw depiction of his experiences and how they shaped every aspect of his personality. He uses what psychiatrists and psychologists call self-deprecating humor throughout the book. The events were explained briefly yet very clearly and one develops sympathy for the author. The emotional burden he faces growing up and how he continues to take physically and mentally abusive decisions that seem to mirror the physically and mentally abusive actions of the trusted male adults of his life, even though they were not completely same was depicted very aptly and hits the readers in all the right places.

Despite this, the book is written in a free flow manner. It contains explicit language and sex scenes that some readers may not be comfortable with. Other than that, the book does not have any negative aspects. It is hard-hitting, yet very real and the incidents were not sugar coated.

I give this book 4 out of 4 stars. This book was not written with the intent of appeasing the readers, rather it was an honest insight into the life of the author, which was precisely the reason why it hit home-run with the readers. The book was professionally edited and did not drop the ball on the expectations of the readers, rather it raised the standard of book writing to a whole new level.

I will recommend this book to everyone who feels, or has ever once felt, rejected by friends, society, lover/s, family, or felt suicidal and unworthy of living. The book is famous among young adults, irrespective of their sexual orientation, it is more about the psychology of feeling lost in the game of life.
