Easter is also called Pascha. It is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. During this festive season, Easter eggs are decorated. They are used as gifts during Easter. They are traditional symbols of fertility and rebirth. In Christianity, Easter eggs represent the empty tomb of Jesus hence signifying his resurrection.

Eggstravagant Easter Eggs by Maya Elston is an amazing book that discusses egg decoration during Easter in detail. She begins by giving us the origin of Easter Eggs decoration. From the book, the Imperial Russian Fabergé eggs are the most outstanding and most expensive. The book talks about the different methods and ways of decorating eggs. Elston uses cheap and easily available options. Demonstrate amazing patterns and pictures on how to paint.

Elston is trained as an art conservator. This is shown in her prowess and expertise in matters of art. She has also lectured in different countries, hence her book comes with a lot of experience it needs. I have never been a fan of painting and decorating till I read this book. The art of decorating is a skill am looking forward to training on after being inspired by this book. In my opinion, the Easter holidays are meant to bond and share gifts with family and friends. Eggs painting can be an amazing way to spend quality time with friends and family. The art of painting itself can be perfected and made a career. A lot of people earn from this skill.

the format I liked most about this book is the availability of many designs, each being well explained on how to decorate it. I love how Maya uses pictures to demonstrate what one should do when decorating. The creativity in the book is mind-blowing. I also love the fact that Elston is an expert when it comes to art. This makes the guide more authentic.

There is nothing about this book that I didn't like In this book. The plot of the story is well established. Due to the above reasons, I rate the book a 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves the Easter holidays especially, those who enjoy egg decorations. The book can also be a great guide to those looking for a new hobby. The book may be a little bit complex for young children. Though, with the help of a caring adult, this book can also be a great guide to kids too.

I have never looked at Easter eggs as a symbol of rebirth and fertility because of the commercialisation of this period. But the egg representation makes so much sense.

This book seems to be based on a very unique concept. I am not a Christian, so I've never decorated an Easter Egg, but it seems like an interesting and entertaining way to spend time with family. Thanks for the great review.

I am impressed that this talented artist shares her tips so well in her book. I'm sure it would inspire your creativity in many ways--not just for painting Easter eggs. Thank you for your recommendation!

This is a very intriguing topic. Even though I've never tried painting Easter eggs, I've always been aware of it but only as something done for fun. This review has given me something to look into.
