As someone who has a little kid in their house who's still learning to read and learning about her alphabet that this would be an extremely helpful guide. I haven't had a chance to use it in that way but I plan too. She would just love it, as I’m sure many little kids will as well.

None of the words are too hard to understand. At the bottom it gives questions that you can ask the children while you’re reading so that the book is more engaging for them, and even the answers so that you’re not just sitting there scratching your head after they answer. I also liked that the questions are all very simplistic so that your child or any child can feel just a bit smarter while they’re read too and answer questions. It’s a great way to build up their self-esteem.

This is the sort of book that could be seen in a classroom for younger children, I can see it being used in reading lessons, and it would be extremely beneficial to the children, and they would absolutely love it.
All of the illustrations are very cute and simplistic, giving the book a very easy go feeling. While the illustrations were all cute, as I stated above, sometimes they were a little too simplistic. Like I wasn’t even sure what some of the pictures were supposed to be just based on the pictures. If the words and letters hadn’t been at the bottom I might not have guessed correctly. But it is for children and this is coming from the mouth of an adult.

You can tell that the author has some experience with teaching children, perhaps as a professional teacher or a Sunday school teacher. Either way it’s obvious because he anticipates that the children need or the questions that the person reading the books should ask. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he had children of his own, I sense a father and a teacher when I read this.

I feel that the author is limiting himself to the confines of a Kindle however; the book would be much more beneficial as a paper format so that it is more easily accessible to children, because honestly I wouldn’t leave my child alone with something that expensive.

Overall I’d give this book 4 out of 4 stars because it’s a sweet short read and perfect for children.

Have a great day!

....as for my background, while I wasn't a teacher I am a father of 4 wonderful children and did in fact teach Sunday School for over 20 years...good guess!
