Snatched Up to Heaven! by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a non-fiction book that shares the dreams of two sisters, Priyanka and Deepika, about heaven.

In 2011, Priyanka and Deepika, daughters of the authors, had dreams about heaven when they were four and two years old, respectively. One night while they were asleep, angels carried the girls to heaven, where they met Jesus. After the angels brought them back to reunite with their earthly bodies, and they awoke, Priyanka prayed very hard and asked God to let her visit again. And over the course of several more dreams, the girls were guests in heaven, and they continued to share their experiences with their parents. Hence, in this book, the authors present Priyanka and Deepika's reports without embellishing or editing their words and compare their accounts with what the Bible says about heaven.

Firstly, I must say that I am in awe of how correctly the girls' dreams match the biblical descriptions of heaven. Considering the girls' ages, I wondered how they could give accurate descriptions that agree with what the Bible says. Through the links in the book, I also watched YouTube videos where the girls shared some of the visions. Readers will appreciate how the authors have left the children's accounts unedited, as it authenticates the book's contents. I must also commend the authors for listening to their children, taking their visions seriously, and sharing them with us through this book, as it would help revive our hopes of eternal glory through Jesus.

What I like most about this book is the authors' harmonization of the girls' accounts with the teachings in the Bible. In the 'My Interpretation' sections of the book, coming after each vision, the authors use Bible verses to corroborate and interpret what the girls saw in their dreams. For example, Priyanka told her parents that she and her sister got tiaras adorned with sparkling stones from Jesus. It agrees with the Lord's promise to award the righteous in heaven with the crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4:8). More so, there's also a reward for sinfulness, and I am glad that Jesus also showed the girls the fate of the unrighteous in hell.

Furthermore, the message that this book seeks to spread is both relevant and inspiring. While many Christians know what they must do to gain eternal life, some are ignorant of the commission to evangelize and inform others about Jesus. This book teaches and encourages us to do that and also keep doing what is right in the hope of reaping heavenly rewards through Jesus. I also enjoyed how the authors provided insights into earthly celebrations like Christmas and Halloween and the correct way to lead children to Christ.

Personally, there's nothing to dislike about the book, and I am glad that the discussions are easy to follow and understand. I am also happy to report that I found only two typos throughout this 131-page book. Therefore, I happily rate this publication four out of four stars. I highly recommend it to readers interested in the eternal destinies of the righteous and unrighteous, especially Christians inspired by the testimonies of others.

Thanks for your review. As far as I know, the Bible is created and used by humans, while dreams are reflections of things we see or hear during the days, so it's not strange for kids to recreate biblical descriptions in their dreams.

This is an interesting plot but I doubt the events are real. Two girls dreamt of going to heaven and they did, it's a common event with people claiming to go to heaven and coming back and it's difficult to know the real from the fake.

I have the illustrated short story version of this book in the past. While Deepika and Priyanka's experiences are impressive, I won't be reading the book, as it's not from my preferred genre. Thank you for the wonderful review!
