Review of Prisoner to Prince
Prisoner to Prince by Judy Byrne is a biblical story that is based on the life of Joseph. This book is the second in the series of Biblical characters that inspired us to live by faith. This book is divided into thirty-nine pages.
In the book, the author described the entire life of Joseph as stated in the Bible. Joseph was his father's favorite son, and his brothers hated him. Then, they decided to sell him off as a slave. Joseph's life was filled with so many travails. Read up on this book to find out how he prevailed.
Joseph's story is something that I think everyone is familiar with. It is one of the timeless biblical stories that inspire us to be strong and trust in God's plan for us. This true-life story of Joseph encourages us to have faith in God and obey His commandments. Joseph was faithful and trusted in God. Even though I had read Joseph's story in the Bible and had been told the story several times when I was a child, this book is different because the author gave us a well-detailed dialogue and expressions.
Also, this book contained colourful images of the characters in Joseph's life. I must commend Sarah Akers for creating a fabulous illustration. They are brightly coloured pictures, and they certainly make the book very catchy and exciting to read. I believe that the images will make the children understand the storyline easily. It was fun reading this book. I find myself relating to the story of Joseph and understanding more about what he went through.
There is nothing to dislike about this book. Therefore, I am rating the book 4 out of 4 stars. The children will learn never to give up, trust God, and do what is right. Also, this book was exceptionally edited because I did not notice any grammatical errors.
I recommend the book to children between the ages of 5 to 8 years. The book can also be read out loud to kids who cannot read as a bedtime story. This book is a Christian book, but people of other religions can also read it because it is a book that helps us remember not to give up when we are going through troubles.
