This was a very easy read regarding the good and bad of marriage. He gives examples of how differences in different generations with or without principles can help or harm a union. He uses words like 'most likely', 'typically' in regards to what a good marriage produces. This is important because not all children will be successful even coming from a good marriage. Lastly, he makes you think about character and decision making skills by providing different scenarios from different marriage examples.

The title of this book. What’s Forever For? A Physician’s Guide To Everlasting Love And Success In Marriage makes marriage sound romantic but I enjoyed how he discusses marriage from authenticity perspective of only someone who has actually been and still is married. He discusses that, in which I agree with, how good marriages will produce a stable society. People today would call him old school, however, his thoughts and perspectives are much needed to bring back a more civilized society.

The only parts that I didn't necessary agree with was the religious aspect. As long as their are principles that both parties stand firm on then the marriage would more than likely work out. To expand a little further some marriages are based on a spirituality from the culture and not a religion. What is understood is that both parties agree on similar principles and beliefs.

I would rate this book a 4 out of 4. There was an easy flow about the book. The sentence structure was simple yet effective. George Naum discusses not only marriage in general but his marriage as well. I also liked how he had questionnaires to make one think about a persons character and how they handle issues when dealing with their partner. This is a great way for self-reflection.

What’s Forever For? A Physician’s Guide To Everlasting Love And Success In Marriage is great for all audiences but specifically will benefit those who will get married and those who may need a little help getting back on track in their current marriage. The author was spot on about not having programs available to help prepare for marriage. Well, since there isnt one readily available this book should be the starting point.
