Review of Creating Literary Stories: A Fiction Writer's Guide
[Following is a volunteer review of "Creating Literary Stories: A Fiction Writer's Guide" by William H. Coles.]
CREATING LITERALLY STORIES: A Fiction Writers Guide is an interesting book authored by WILLIAM H. COLES. The author has well explained two interesting concepts that are very important and helpful to fellow authors or to persons who would like to author books.
The book is one but it has two books in it. In the first book the author has explained the literal story in fiction and in the second book the author has explained how to create a literally fictional story. In the first book the author captures very important details that can help an author understand how to create a literary story in fiction. Some of these details include the creation of characters that will capture the attention of the readers, how to narrate a story and how humor intertwines with literary fiction. He also explains how an author should establish the point of view in a literary story and what are the reasons that make most literary stories fail. These important factors can help an author understand what it takes to write an exquisite book and they have been highlighted in the book clearly.
Additionally, in the second book the author has also given a well detailed explanation on how to create a literally fictional story and this is really informative too. In addition to that he has also explained the fundamentals and essentials required to write a literary story. In another instance, the author has also given a well detailed explanation on how to bring a literary story to life.
The positive aspect I found about this book is that every important point has been well highlighted and discussed in detail and this makes it easier for me as a reader to understand the book well. The author has also provided examples when discussing a topic and they are of great help because they make it easier for the reader to understand the book better.
This book was well edited. I did not find any typos, grammar or spelling mistakes while reading it.
I would rate this book a four out four. I enjoyed reading it and I did not find any negative aspects about it.
I would recommend this book to persons who are interested in becoming authors. It would guide them very well as it has well summarized the important details on how to write a literary fictional story and on how to bring it to life. I would also encourage existing authors who are having trouble on how to write better to read this book.
