In Mind, Body, Spirit, and Discovering the Purpose of Life, Diane Calabrese wrote a therapeutic book that offers solutions to human problems. It gives the reader a clearer view of life and gives him an opportunity to live a happier life.

Diane Calabrese, a recreational therapist, pours out her work and life experiences in the book. In our lives, we see problems, illnesses, betrayals, death, and mistakes. We all make wrong turns, which are considered part of our lives' journey. This book teaches how to take care of our lives physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. It introduces different holistic treatments that help us prevent certain mistakes and illnesses. As humans, we are born with a particular purpose to fulfil, but the problem comes when we don't discover our purpose, and we live according to others' perspectives of us. The book is filled with guidelines that enable us to find the purpose for which we are created. It shows the difference in our individual physical well-being as well as our spiritual well-being. It also portrayed self-healing practices when broken. It is known that our actions result from our thoughts, and the book also helps direct our thoughts to become better humans. As a religious book, the reader sees how happy lives can be achieved in Jesus Christ.

The book has some positive points. Firstly, I love that it gave practical experiments to show the intent of the author. I also commend the arrangement of the chapters. The book was arranged in such a way that the previous topic gave rise to the next topic. There is a smooth flow of the topics. There is also pictorial representation drawn in bright colours to convey the message of the author effectively.

However, on the negative side, I didn't appreciate the undue repetition of certain words or topics. Also, some of the examples were unnecessary and lengthy. It made the book a bit boring and less interesting to read. Apart from these, I didn't find much else to not like about the book. The author did a great job on the book. I enjoyed most of my reading experience.

The book was professionally edited. I found just one error in it. Consequently, I give the book 3 out of 4 stars. I do so because the author did put her all into the book. The book was practical and easy to understand. I didn't give it a higher rating because of the less interesting factors of the book, which I already mentioned above.

I recommend the book especially to those who are in downtimes in their lives, old and young. People who desire an in-depth understanding of the purpose of life will also have a great time reading this book. It is not restricted to any particular age, and it helps the reader navigate different spheres of life.

While readers of other religions can glean helpful messages from the book, it is best suited for Christian readers. It contains a lot of Bible quotations.

This book sounds like a complete help for someone who needs some help like me. You mentioned that you don't like repetition, but it is essential to make repetition in a self-development book like this. It is meant to make readers remember what has been informed.
