The title really grabbed my eye. Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure by Sylvie Beljanski is a book that tells all about the research Sylvie's father, Dr. Mirko Beljanski, did to continue the war against cancer.

Sylvie's father was a biologist-biochemist PhD, who joined the famous Pasteur Institute in Paris, France, to find an alternative way to beat cancer. The facts in the book are all backed by science, serious studies, and published data. The book talks about how Dr. Beljanski used the extracts of Pao pereira and Rauwolfia vomitoria trees to fight against pancreatic cancer stem cells and ovarian cancer stems. The work also states the unjust situations that happened to them while they worked on researching for a better cure. Sylvie mentioned the companies that only wanted money and credit. There is also a dosage provided at the end of the work for various types of tumors and cancers.

"You were born with the ability to change someone's life-don't ever waste it," Dale Partridge, is one of the many quotes at the start of every chapter. These quotes were a great motivator and eye-opener. My favorite part of the book would be the dosages provided at the end. This can be very helpful for many people, as all of the research is provided with a scientific backup. The author was also brave enough to voice the unjust things that occurred while her research continued. The courage really made me believe that the author was giving her all while fighting the war against cancer. She also included her personal life, which is something readers can learn from.

There is nothing I dislike about the book. Every scientific term has been explained in a very easy manner. Even if one does not have an understanding of this field of science, they will be able to understand the process of making the medicines. There are no unnecessary parts that make reading a bore. I also found no errors in the work or any profane words. It was a pleasant read.

I would rate Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure 4 out of 4 stars as the book can make quite a huge difference in someone's life. I would recommend it to people who are interested in knowing more about alternative cures. People who have cancer or know someone with cancer will also find this book informative and may even give hope to some. All in all, this is a great book!
