[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Nature Gifts of the Soursop Leaves (graviola leaves)" by David Soh Poh Huat.]
Excellent plot development and an engaging discussion merits Nature Gifts of the Soursop Leaves (Graviola leaves) by David Soh Poh Huat a maximum rating of four out of four stars. What I loved most about this book is the extensive research that is evident in the author's presentation of his ideas. I also loved the fact that the author does not claim to be an authority on Graviola leaves but challenges his readers to verify any doubts or assumptions they may have through other sources.
The book provides insight into the medicinal value of the soursop leaves (Graviola) and additionally lists the range of ailments that can be treated by the leaves. Readers who are not familiar with the herbs have been provided with information on the source, preservation and administration of the herbs, which will enable them to gain maximum benefits from using Graviola leaves.
I believe that a work of art strives to create mental pictures in the mind of the reader. David has accomplished this by his inclusion of pictures and images of the Graviola leaves. This ensures that readers can compare the physical image of the leaves and verify their availability. Moreover, the images served as a literary deviation from the usual monotony of narration, which made the book quite lively and engaging as well. The pictures also complement the written discussion by providing the physical appearance of the herbs in each preparation stage.
I commend the author for enhancing the resourcefulness of this book, evident in its holistic presentation of his discussion. David discusses the recommended dosage that patients should take and goes ahead to discuss the side effects of using the herbs. Very few authors extensively provide information on the cons of using a product that they are trying to promote and this honesty is what places the author above the rest.
David has included testimonials from people that have benefited from the use of Graviola leaves. This enhances the credibility of his arguments as readers can verify his claims. Readers from countries that do not have the natural forms of Graviola leaves can equally order the product via the author's website.
There is nothing that I liked least in this book. Although I found a few grammatical errors, I shall not deduct a star because they did not detract from my reading experience and subsequent enjoyment. I recommend it to readers that like health-based books and manuals. Cancer patients may also find the discussion on herbs quite interesting.
