Review of Marijuana Martinis
Numerous theories and works have been authored about marijuana, commonly known as weed. In most cases, negative reviews have been highlighted, often showing the hazardous effects weed has on the human body. While schooling, I was taught nothing productive about consuming cannabis. Our tutors constantly warned us to keep off it. In retrospect, some lessons were correct. However, over the years, my experiences have taught me the divine side of it. In Marijuana Martinis, Liv Hamrick discusses cannabis in-depth and how it influenced her life.
The author had a tumor in her spine. After undergoing three operations, the after pain was unavoidable. The doctors prescribed drugs to relieve the pain, but the side effects were unbearable, so she indulged in medicinal marijuana. The results were fruitful. This book highlights a broad spectrum about weed: a brief history, ancient and modern hemp, types and benefits of cannabis, and others. Besides cannabis, its other names are pot, weed, dope, hashish, ganja, and marijuana.
My curious mind got the better of me. I enjoy reading researches and scientific findings that may prove beneficial in the future. When I started following this work, right from the introduction captivated my attention.
I liked the writing strategy of the book. It lacked complex patter, and the narration was engaging. Liv Hamrick not only highlights the positiveness of weed but also mentions the negativities that arise with its excessive consumption. I learned hashish is used in cocktails, edibles, hot chocolates during the chilling weather, etc.
Also, the work is less than a hundred and fifty pages. Given the genre it falls under, the author did not make it extensive. Finally, I admired the references included in the ending pages. Out of curiosity, I followed a few of the links. Not only were they authentic but also detailed and educative. The author does not fail to mention weed enhances the libido in both genders.
I only disliked the instances I encountered shortened words/initials that I did not grasp their meanings. And though I received an Amazon version of the book, some definitions were unavailable on the kindle dictionary, so I had to search from the internet.
I award the book four out of four stars because of its flawless nature. It was exceptionally well edited. Moreover, I appreciated the informative nature of the installment. Nevertheless, I do not find it suitable for teenagers and kids for obvious reasons. I recommend it to enthusiasts of books packed with scientific information about cannabis.
