Living Forward after Loss: Rebuilding Your Life after Losing Your Life Partner is a well-written book that talks about Kathleen Ho’s journey towards inner healing after losing her soulmate, David. His partner died of a stroke. Losing our beloved ones can sometimes result in significant and unbearable pain for us. This is the same situation the author of this inspiring book found herself in after losing her soulmate.

The author discusses various topics in the first chapter of this book. For example, she discusses how she felt when her partner, David, died. The author was in pain and emotionally numb, making it difficult for her to function. She also acknowledges the involvement of her family and friends in consoling her following her husband's death. As a result of her soulmate's death, the author discovered that the depression that follows a loved one's death can have a ripple effect on others around her. The author also shared some of the greatest phrases to say to folks who are grieving the loss of friends or family members.

This is a short book (107 pages) that can be read in a short period of time. It is also an informative book that can help individuals learn how to deal with the pain of losing their beloved ones. The language used by the author in writing the book is simple. This makes it easier to grasp the message in the book. This excellent book is also divided into eight short chapters.

What I liked about this book is how the author began each chapter with an educational quote from a different thinker. Also, I liked the cover page of this book. It was wonderfully designed, making it attractive. The one aspect of the book that I did not like was how the author used more than seven pages just for acknowledgment purposes. In my opinion, one page could be enough for that.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This is because I did not come across any grammatical errors while reading the book. This shows that the book was professionally edited. Another reason for giving it a full rating is that the book was informative and inspiring. This is a book that I would recommend to those readers who enjoy reading non-fiction books. Moreover, those who are suffering from pain and stress after losing their beloved ones will learn how to handle their situation properly.
