Review of Bitcoin Answered
The rise of cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin is hidden from none, and to turn a blind eye to something as profitably explosive is definitely not a smart move. Given the number of resources and the overwhelming amount of information available to learn about Bitcoin, the beginning seems like a daunting task. Thankfully, Bitcoin Answered by Jon Law is a perfect little book to get started with fundamentals.
The book follows a question-answer format making the content well split and easily understandable. It contains detailed facts on the history of Bitcoin, its gradual development over several years, the current position it holds, and the drastic rate at which it is being installed in the financial system. I like how it addresses the common concerns regarding the trust value of the cryptocurrency, the vulnerability and risk factors involved. The topics are well explained yet not too detailed to get one confused. There are diagrams and charts, and resources mentioned everywhere. The content seems well researched, and all the references are cited, helping readers dive further into a particular topic.
I really enjoyed the part about the creator of Bitcoin, and it had me scouring the internet for different theories. It is interesting to note that an anonymous individual or organization behind the cryptocurrency token is making such an impact on the world economy. The book will help the reader get familiar with key terminology and standard practices. I really appreciate the resource section of the book. The author has maintained a glossary of essential terms, along with a list of YouTube channels, podcasts, books, and more.
The book covers questions from "What is Bitcoin?" to "What is the point of Bitcoin?" and includes content explaining Bitcoin to a 5-year-old while discussing a trading mindset and addressing security and anonymity concerns. The book, thus, is an exhaustive set for beginners to dip into the digital currency waters.
I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars. The book was professionally edited, and I really enjoyed reading it. It works as a great reference book, and I will definitely be rereading it from time to time. The simplified layout of the book makes it highly accessible as a learning resource.
I recommend this book to readers interested in cryptocurrency and starting out on personal finances. It is also a worthy read for young adults like me, stepping into the real world, as cryptocurrency and trading, in general, is seemingly crucial to financial independence in the future. The book does not contain any profanity and is open to readers of all religious beliefs.
