Review of The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Fallacy
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, written by H. Nattanya Andersen, is an exposition about the intricacies of post-traumatic stress disorder. The author pens this book using the knowledge that she has learnt from her experience with post-traumatic stress disorder. Nattanya was a flight attendant for a top North American airline. She had several near-death experiences in the course of doing her job. A near-fatal plane crash caused by the explosion of a Boeing 727 engine was the final blow. She developed post-traumatic stress disorder.
Naturally, she engaged the services of psychotherapists. After a while, she discovered that the psychotherapists were not acting in her interest; they were much more interested in their financial compensation. She launched an investigation into the mental healthcare system; what she discovered will blow your mind. Nattanya decided to take responsibility for her treatment and healing. She engaged in extensive research and obtained valuable information. She utilized alternative methods for treating mental disorders. Her methods include spiritual, philosophical, and metaphysical methods. Nattanya shows great disdain for conventional treatments for mental disorders; she refers to psychotherapists as psycho-the-rapists. This is an interesting book. Did her unique philosophy get her the results that she sought?
It was hard to put down this book; I was flipping the pages out of curiosity to find out Nattanya's discoveries and theories. The first thing I love about this book is the audacity. Nattanya expresses information in this book that could get her killed. She boldly expresses her contempt for the mental healthcare system and reveals the flaws in the system. I must say that her criticism of the mental healthcare system is accurate. I have been a healthcare worker for over a decade; from my experience, I can say that her criticisms are correct.
Another beautiful feature of this book is that it exposes the reader to alternative methods of treating mental health disorders. The conventional ways of treating post-traumatic stress disorder have not worked for many people that suffer from the disorder. Therefore, it is wonderful that Nattanya clearly elucidates alternative methods for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder. From the facts presented in the book, these alternative methods actually work! This book is exceptionally edited; I did not find any errors in it.
This book is a blessing because I have a cousin that is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a perfect book; it does not have any negative features. Consequently, I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I highly recommend this book to people who are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
