The Book Of Life Of The Lamb, written by Alejandro S. Castro, is a non-fictional story of Alejandro written by himself. It focuses mainly on his spiritual life and journey of enlightenment. Right from a little age, Alejandro has had inexplicable spiritual experiences that he could barely understand nor grasp their significance. However, he becomes increasingly aware of other forces that might play in the world.
Through the natural flow of time and constant questioning, he soon makes sense of the multiple supra-natural experiences. Soon, he realizes that aliens occupy the earth but are hidden away from bare eyes. He realizes that the human race is in imminent danger. He believes he is sent on a mission to warn humans and to make them aware of the existence of these unworldly beings. All in this process, he is brought to a realization of some dumbfounding truth and connection to Enlil. So shocking and incredible, he could barely come to terms with it but is guided by his angel, Halali-EL, who helps him find the answers he seeks and the true purpose for his existence. He is opportune to access the Akashic records.
This book has many positive aspects. It shows his thirst to live a holy life and to be close to God. The book shows an unusual way of approaching the issue of spirituality, bible interpretation, and Christianity. The approach is quite controversial and uncommon. The author expresses his firm conviction that Jesus is Adam amongst other beliefs that can be perceived as unconventional. However, these convictions are borne from researches and spiritual guidance from God.
Another positive aspect is the message of the need for change and turning from our dark paths into the light. The author cries out for the need to sweep out Annunaki remnants, persons that profit off others, and the need for a generation that’s kinder and superior. Also, a powerful message of redemption can be gotten from the book. Despite the author’s mistakes, falls, and unbridled passion, God redeems him and brings him back to salvation. He is even appointed to carry out a divine assignment. This shows God’s faithfulness and love despite the shortcomings of man.
More so, the shenanigans most churches indulge in are brought into view. The book serves as a warning against churches propagating misguided principles. The miserable ways lust and promiscuity can enslave a person are highlighted. The book has some negative aspects which I must comment on. Firstly, the book was not professionally edited and had a litany of grammatical errors and mistakes. I could barely read a few pages without finding so many errors. Secondly, the book is not adequately organized and segmented.
The references, bible passages, main storyline, and excerpt from other sources are all clustered together, making it really confusing and untidy. Thirdly, the words are too abstract. The author introduces a new element without proper explanation, which is then shifted to a later point in the book. At a point, it felt like scraps forcibly put together. Fourthly, the tone of the book is patronizing and, dare I say, condescending. Which I must confess would come across as offensive. Lastly, some parts in the book were contradictory. The Grey Alien was initially portrayed as a wicked being, only to be told later that the Grey Alien is God. That is quite a turn. The author should adopt a particular stance and stick with it or, better yet, clarify the transition process how it got from here to there.
I rate this book a 2 out of 4 after considering both the negative and positive aspects. I recommend this book to persons that enjoy controversial opinions or topics and persons inclined to a better understanding of abstract notions.
