This book is a very informative guide to creating information products. When I first picked it up I was half expecting to be completely bored. As it turned out, I found the book quite interesting. The author has done a very good job of presenting in this book the potential of information products for making money and how to go about it.

The author starts out with an introduction to information products, what they are and how you can use them in your business to increase your income without significantly increasing the time worked. She explains how you can actually use this tool to free up time for your family and other interests. She walks you through simple calculations to determine how much you want to make and what kind of information products you might need to reach your financial goal. There is also a walkthrough of the business model that utilizes information products. She then takes you through an examination of your skills, using a worksheet, so that you can pinpoint what information you can turn into a product. You will walk through a series of worksheets throughout this book that help you to focus in on what information you have that others need and how to develop that information into a sellable product.

The author will take you through the process of developing the framework for your information products and then give you specifics on how you can convert your expertise into these products. You will learn how to develop downloadable documents, downloadable audio products and audio and video products. Throughout the book she recommends websites and other resources that are user-friendly for the newcomer to this concept. Everything is presented in a step-by-step fashion so that you can easily see what to do next. In the last couple of chapters she goes into a discussion of how you can position yourself as an expert in your field and a look at how to market yourself and your products.

I found this book to be very informative and easy to read. I think it would be a good starting place for any business owner who is looking for an opportunity to sell their expertise. My only issue with the book was a number of grammar and typing errors which seemed to become more frequent as the book progressed. I would definitely recommend this book to someone who is exploring this as a possibility. I think it would provide a good jumping off point.

I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars because the content was inspiring and helpful.
