Review of The Maestro Monologue
The Maestro Monologue by Rob White has about two hundred and twenty pages and twenty-nine chapters which are divided into four major parts: Understanding what's ultimately true about you, seeing it like it is without making it worst, high spirits as you are revealed and thy kingdom come.
To start with, the first part opens up an awareness of whom you are as a person who is marvelously made and the ultimate understanding of the real you. It reveals the power of human beings to win at everything they set their mind on doing.
The second part reveals how human beings are dual in nature: the intruder, which is also pointed out to be the great pretender, and the true self. The intruder is likened to be the part of human beings that doesn't want progress in one's lives, always opposing something good. it also explains how one can handle the intruder. The self is the opposite of the intruder, always wanting to achieve goals, plans, and so on.
The third part reveals how you can take charge of your life consciously by using the dynamic trio: the rebel, the recognizer, and the revealer as the maestro of your life.
The fourth part highlights how to continue in to be the maestro of your life and the drive, passion that you need.
I really enjoyed reading every bit of the book as it enlightens me on how I can control my life and build it. It made me have a change in mindset concerning life. It gives me the insight that human beings are limitless and we are the only persons limiting ourselves by giving the intruder, which is also portrayed as the great pretender, the power to control our daily activities.
I don't see anything faulty in the novel as it seems well edited and written by professionals. The choices and use of words, poems to spice the novel up are superb. The exercises by the author give room for the reader to be carried along and this is really amazing! the example and the stories in the novel give more clarity.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is educational as it lunches one into another dimension of life and teaches how to behave in situations of life.
I recommend this book to students, working-class people who seem to be giving up on life and need something to bring them back. Though it contains some bible passages, this doesn't portray the belief of the author but rather, explains some basic things of life and this implies that it can be read by anybody at any point in time. It is religious biased free.
