Weight Loss For women Over 40 by Sarosh Quereshy, M.D. is a book that covers weight loss and health. The title, written as it appears on the cover, accurately reflects the subject matter. However, there is so much more in this book. Written by a doctor specializing in this field, this work gives information on achieving goals and maintaining them. If you are interested in becoming healthier and staying that way, this is the book for you.

This book begins with the usual things one would expect from an exercise or health book. The reasons why people are unhealthy are listed, as are ways to fix the problem. That is where the similarities to other health books end. The author discusses proven ways to make a steady and permanent difference in weight loss and health from that point forward.

One of the things I loved best about this volume was the constant encouragement offered by the author. The writing style is a bonus and helps a great deal, but the practicality of this process makes success possible for those who read the book and apply its wisdom. This positive outlook is carried throughout the narrative in comments such as this one on page 11, “The number one reason we fail is we quit.” Readers will connect with that way of viewing things and will find themselves zoning in on what works best for them.

I have no negatives to mention for this book. The methods in this work use common sense applications and concepts such as repetition to achieve success. Nothing is discouraging in any part of this work, and I believe that anyone who reads this work will find something useful in some part of it. This book will prove a helpful tool to have on a bookshelf, whether for themselves or someone else.

I found myself going back and rereading sections of this book for valuable information regarding health issues. The information contained in these chapters makes this book a must-read for everyone. It will most appeal to readers who find themselves needing a system by which they can regain their healthy weight and maintain that through good lifestyle choices and established routines. I also loved the sections regarding meditation and learning how to take time for oneself. Although the book mentions religious practices, it does not push them. This makes it suitable for religious or non-religious readers.

This book is exceptionally well edited. I only found one minor error. It delivers on the promise made by the title and seems to be what it should be. For these reasons, I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend it to people who want to make a permanent choice for better and longer-lasting health. I also recommend it to readers who enjoy informative works centered around health and self-improvement.

I think it is very important for the book to have an encouraging tone when writing on such a sensitive topic and not a harsh one. It is good that the author took this into account. Thanks for your review!
