The Maestro Monologue by Rob White is a self-help book containing what I call rituals of becoming a better person. This book can help one realize the great potential they have as an individual, and help overcome great obstacles by understanding themselves better. Part one of the book focuses on self-awareness, helping you notice the misconceptions you had about yourself caused by what the book calls the intruder in part two; which is a little voice in your head that talks you out of doing something great by reminding of the bad outcomes — when you recognize that voice as an intruder, you begin to perceive yourself with fresh eyes.

Part three of the book focuses on training your brain to react positively different to the intruders voice by using the three states of minds that “arouse incredible aptitudes, talent and strength that lays dormant within every individual” called the Dynamic Trio. The goal in part four is not to get rid of all those negative feeling, thoughts and situations, but the goal is to change how you respond to them while simultaneously building a strong and unshakable personality. By the time you finish reading this book you’ll realize that as cliché as it sounds; the future is in your hands and that it’s only you that can make you achieve great things.

This is a great and resourceful book, I really loved learning about myself in such depth that it made me aware of a lot of things I’ve been doing wrong and right in my life — It reminded me of a time when I really thought I’d never do visually art as a hobby; my first try went terribly wrong and I was only 13 years old. That little error formed a misconception that maybe art is not my thing. It was only 3 years ago when I unconsciously unlocked this innovative resourceful state of mind called the Dynamic Trio; The rebel in me realized I never tried hard enough, the recognizer gave me hope because even an old dog can learn new tricks, and it was through the revealer when I started art as a hobby again from basic sketching, and today I’m proud to call myself a visual artist; Little did I know that it was the Dynamic Trio that helped me achieve my goals.

There is nothing I dislike about this book, I think it was well written and “each chapter adds more oil to your lamp of truth” just as the book says. I found this book very insightful and enlightening as it featured Bible verses, and inspirational quotes from great legends like William Shakespeare, Alan W Watts. W. H Murray and many more. I also believe the book was edited professionally since I found no typos or spelling errors.

I rate this book a perfect 4 out of 4 because of the resourceful information it gave me, I’ve personally gained some insight into how my brain works and I have to say I understand myself a little bit better now. I don’t rate it a 3 out of 4 simply because there’s nothing I dislike about it and that I found no typos or spelling errors.

This self-help book is inspirational and self-empowering; I feel like it’s for every body, especially anyone who wants to become a better person and achieve great things.
