Review of Isaiah 11.6
Alf Peter Vieira visited a Tao temple, where he met Mr. Wu, a Taoist and practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine. Mr. Wu told Viera that he would face life-changing challenges and adversities, but he also assured him that he would come out of those challenges. Mr. Wu did not only gift Vieira with a glimpse of his future but also gifted him with a rare and precious berry that grew in a desert only when certain climatic conditions were right. He instructed Vieira to use the berry only when his heart was pure, and he was ready to find answers to spiritual questions. Twenty years after visiting Mr. Wu, Vieira felt ready and used the berry. You can read all about the magical effects the berry had on Vieira and the challenges he faced in Isaiah 11.6.
The PDF version of the book is compact, with 47 pages and three condensed chapters. The book opens with a prologue, followed by three chapters that detail the life and struggles of the author. In the first chapter, Vieira elaborates on the trying times and some of the significant challenges he encountered at various points in his life. The second chapter details Vieira’s visit to the Tao temple and the events that led to him receiving the Talklaman berry. The third and final chapter is titled “Who are thee, my friend” and was written seven years later. In this last chapter, Vieira reflects on his life and looks ahead into the future, visualizing what he wants to see and become in the future.
Reading this book was enlightening on both the spiritual and legal levels. Vieira was embroiled in a custody battle that dragged for years. This custody battle shines a light on the processes and steps followed when one applies for child custody. Vieira’s transparency throughout the custody battle allows the reader to learn from his experience. Despite the process being lengthy, costly, and emotionally taxing, the author showed determination and resilience, and in my eyes, he is a hero.
I liked the lessons from this book and learned from the author’s experiences. The book was professionally edited, as I came across only one error. The language used was clear and easy to comprehend, with very few profane terms throughout the book. There was nothing I disliked about this book. My final rating of the book is 4 out of 4.
The book title gives the impression that the book is suitable for Christian readers, but that is actually not the case. Vieira did not elaborate on the title or any other biblical verses. In fact, the author categorically states that he is not a religious person. I recommend the book to readers on a spiritual, self-discovery, and self-mastery journey and those interested in these topics.
